David Bull

As party chairman, David Bull is in charge of the "professionalisation" of Reform UK.

During a recent appearance on the Daily Expresso podcast, Bull claimed that "politics is won and lost in the centre ground," adding, "I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal."

However, this fundamental misreading of the political landscape ignores the very reason voters are turning to Reform in the first place. The electorate is seeking a genuine alternative to the so-called "centre ground," not another liberal party to join the crowded ranks of the Greens, Labour, the Conservatives, and the Lib Dems.

Voters are not flocking to Reform for its industrial policy or economic nuance; they are heavily driven by a single, defining issue: immigration. Bull, a former television ghost hunter on Most Haunted, appears profoundly disconnected from his own party's base. This ideological clash was laid bare in his first interview upon becoming chairman, when he claimed to the media:

"Immigration is the lifeblood of this country. It always has been."

Bull has described factually accurate comments Nigel Farage made about HIV as "ill-judged, prejudiced, and dangerous". Bull has called for HIV-positive immigrants to be allowed into the country to receive free treatment from the NHS. HIV treatment costs the NHS hundreds of thousands of pounds per individual over the course of their lifetime.

In the 2016 American election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, Bull tweeted "Hillary Clinton belongs in the White House" and described Donald Trump as a "source of hate".
